Sporting goods store coming soon to Norwich shopping center
NORWICH – Renovation plans for a new sporting goods retail store in the Town of Norwich are underway.
In recent years Olympia Sports’ presence in New York state has grown. In just four years, the retailer has increased from a handful of locations to 25 throughout the state. The newest addition will be at 5631 State Highway 12 in the Norwich Towne Center, in the former Tanning Bed location. The Norwich store is expected to employ 10-12 sales associates and will occupy 4,000 square feet.
Olympia Sports plans to open its doors at 10 a.m., April 13. The company will celebrate its 32nd year in business just months after opening its doors locally. The privately-owned company has over 150 retail stores throughout New England and employs approximately 2,000 full and part-time employees.
Olympia Sports is a full service retail sporting goods company which features a broad assortment of national brand merchandise in sports and fitness equipment, casual and athletic apparel, athletic footwear, leisure wear and accessories for men, women and children.
