OXFORD – Oxford won its 11th straight game and clinched its first division title since the 1999 season against Hancock Monday.
Ben Burdick stroked a two-run double as part of a six-run second, and Burdick added a two-run homer in the fourth to pad Oxford’s lead. Oxford’s half-dozen uprising of tallies in the second inning all came with two outs to support winning pitcher Nate Sortino.
