Oneonta 17, Greene 2
ONEONTA – Oneonta opened the flood gates scoring five runs in the fourth to pull away from Greene in Monday’s non-league game.
Lance Ratchford doubled twice and was 4-for-4 with three RBI to lead the Yellowjackets. Jon Wolfanger added two hits in the win.
“In the fourth inning, we made some wholesale substitutions to our lineup,” said Greene coach Dave Gorton. “We made some costly errors, and it just snowballed from there.”
Keith Savory and Dan McDonald had RBI singles for Greene (12-8), who play a first-round sectional game at Dryden Thursday.

Seiler second Class C Sectionals
MARATHON – Oxford junior Scott Seiler put together his best 18-hole round in tournament competition placing second in individual scoring at the Section IV Class C team sectionals Monday at Maple Hill Golf Club.
Seiler finished with a 77 to finish in a tie for second place behind medalist John Duthie of Lansing, who is coming off a win at the Section IV medalist tournament last weekend at Cornell University.
Cory Seiler was next for Oxford shooting an 86. The Blackhawks wound up eighth in team scoring out of 13 schools.
“Scott finished his season really strong, and if he works on his game over the summer, he has a legitimate shot at making the state team,” said Oxford coach Pete Anderson. “Cory is younger, but he, too, has a shot.”
