Partners in crime now facing hard time

NORWICH – The District Attorney’s Office unsealed two indictments in county court Friday morning, charging two young defendants with multiple home invasions and thefts.

Brockton E. Jones, 26, Broome County, was charged with six counts of second degree burglary (class C felony) and six counts of petit larceny. Co-conspirator Liza J. Benjamin, 21, Broome County, is also charged with four counts of second degree burglary and four counts of petit larceny.

The two have also been arrested for a string of home invasions in Broome County as well.

The duo is accused of entering several private residences and stealing a variety of objects and cash. Some of the things they allegedly stole were a $750 Berretta handgun, a global positioning device, jewelry, even rolled coins and change jars.
