Guest soloist performs with Mid York Shining Brass Band in Sherburne Saturday
SHERBURNE – Members of The Mid York Shining Brass Band are excited about the guest soloist who will perform at their spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ.
Pat Carney is a trumpeter extraordinaire. He received his undergraduate degree from the Crane School of Music at Potsdam and a graduate degree from the University of Texas. He has taught on all levels and is presently chairman of the music staff at Mount Markham Central School.
The All-Brass Band, based on the traditional English brass bands, will perform their arrangements of “Trombones Triumphant,” Leroy Anderson’s “Serenata” and other works.
