Police looking for truck that hit a local delivery man

NORWICH – Police are still searching for the operator of a pick-up truck that struck a FedEx delivery man Monday and then sped off.

“We are currently in the process of elimination in matching likely suspects with motor vehicle records, cross-referencing plate numbers and vehicle descriptions and colors,” said Chenango County Sheriff Thomas Loughren.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone with information to contact them at 334-2000 or 337-1924.

Thanks to the account of the victim, police are looking for an older model, blue and white, possibly Ford brand pick-up truck, which may have the partial registration of “CTY” followed by either a “4” or a “6.” The truck may have had two males inside the vehicle.
