Do you know the way to Privet Lane?

The Harry Potter phenomenon has captivated the imagination of children and adults alike, and with only three days left until the release of the last book in the Harry Potter series, I have to admit, I am a little worried about everyone’s favorite bespectacled hero, and apparently I’m not alone.

I, like so many others, have gotten used to reading about all that happens in the wizarding world, giant spiders, whomping willows, flying cars, house elves and a million different spells that would really come in handy on any given day. I mean who wouldn’t want to give their wand a swish and make their enemies puke up slugs. Plus, if we were in the wizard world things could be explained so much more easily. That certain relative who bears an uncanny resemblance to a bull dog would obviously be taking poly-juice potion, and the reason I burned dinner wouldn’t be because I was a horrible cook, but because someone did a spell.

It’s been fun to read about the many adventures at Hogwarts, and to watch my nieces and nephews faces as they hear the stories and fall into the imaginary world. That’s why I await the release of the next book with a mixture of excitement and worry.
