YMCA accepting registrations for soccer, flag football programs
NORWICH – The Norwich YMCA announces tryouts for its sixth-grade-and-under travel team, Monday, Nov. 6 and Friday, Nov. 10. Tryout times are 6-7:30 p.m. each day at the YMCA.
The intent of the team is to develop a squad that will play a more competitive schedule than the regular YMCA recreation league.

This program is for Girls in grades 6th and below. The intent of this year’s program is to develop a team, who will compete at a competitive level that is higher than the regular YMCA recreation league.
Teams will learn more of the fundamentals of basketball, along with team play and sportsmanship in a more structured and competitive setting. Teams will have home games and away games with areas such as Vestal, Chenango Forks, Greene, Oneonta, Chenango Valley, and Endicott.
All girls in grades 6th and below are welcome to try out.

November 6th, 2006 6:00-7:30p.m. YMCA
November 10th, 2006 6:00-7:30p.m. YMCA
NOTE: If your child happens to make one of the teams, please be advised that there is a considerable amount of traveling that takes place, your child must be a member of the YMCA and there will be a $40.00 fee. Financial assistance is available ask the front desk for the paperwork.
If your child does not make one of the teams she will automatically put on an age appropriate team in the YMCA Recreation Basketball League.
