NORWICH – The New York State Police are looking for a man who stole over $50,000 worth of antiques.
Sunday evening, police responded to a call at the Burger King parking lot in Norwich. A man apparently followed the victim from the Madison-Bouckville antique show to the fast-food parking lot and then broke into his vehicle.
At around 6 p.m. a man broke into the victim’s van and stole between $50 and $100,000 worth of jewelry boxes and clothing.
The man then fled the scene in a blue minivan which witnesses said had the license plate DTC-6671. Police also suspect an additional vehicle may have been involved, a maroon van with out of state plates.
