Unadilla Valley 4, Delhi 1
NEW BERLIN – Balanced scoring continues to be Unadilla Valley’s calling card as four different players scored for the Storm in a win over Delhi Tuesday.
Sarah Hutchinson had the Storm’s opening goal, while Sakura Gysin and Jessica Lorence made it 3-0 in the second half before Delhi put its lone tally on the board. Jenna Rudnitsky added insurance for UV, who host their New York Pizzeria Tournament this weekend.
“Our passing looked better today and it’s a good game for us entering the weekend,” said UV coach Chris Bieniek, who added that eight different UV players have scored goals this season.
The Storm face G-MU Friday night at 7 p.m.

Greene 2, B-G 1 (OT)
GREENE – Coming off a Sherburne-Earlville Tournament victory last weekend, Greene eked out an overtime win over Bainbridge-Guilford Tuesday to improve to 4-0.
Jesse Bates took a rebound off teammate April Small’s shot, and scored at 3:58 of the first overtime for the game-winner. “We didn’t play with as much effort in the first half; it was a flat performance coming off the Sherburne-Earlville Tournament,” said Greene coach Randy Smith.
Christina Butcher had B-G’s goal in the first half, and Megan McDermott provided the equalizer for the Trojans to knot the game up at halftime.
Greene earned wins over McGraw (2-1) and Mohawk Valley (2-1) for the title last weekend. “That was a big tournament win for us,” Smith said. “McGraw is a Class D state semifinalist from last year, and Mohawk Valley is a very good team. Those were quality wins over two tough non-league teams.”
The Trojans host Unatego Monday.

OXFORD – Unatego asserted its dominance in the second half getting go-ahead and insurance goals from Stephanie Havens in a win at Oxford Tuesday.
The Blackhawks’ Amanda Brown had her team in front early scoring unassisted just 3:05 into the game. Oxford maintained the lead until the 23-minute mark when, Kelly Fernandez tied it up for the Spartans.
“We were fortunate to keep the game close,” said Oxford coach Kathleen Cragle. “Amanda (Nightengale) made some nice saves for us. Unatego definitely stepped up its play in the second half.”
Oxford hosts Charlotte Valley Saturday at 11 a.m.

NORWICH – Oneonta scored its first four goals 20 minutes into play en route to a shutout over the Purple Tornado Tuesday.
Monica Jones figured in five of the Yellowjackets’ six goals scoring three times and assisting on two others. Cha Cha Naito added a pair of tallies.

MADISON – Madison’s Shelby Betermen and Paige Stone scored goals 2 1/2 minutes apart in the opening eight minutes of play to key Madison’s win over the Vikings Tuesday.
Amanda Morse tallied in the second half for OV, who had two direct kicks in the first half from inside the 18-yard box hit the crossbar. “If either one of those shots went in, it would have changed momentum,” said OV coach Kevin Springer. “We kind of played in spurts. We had about 15 minutes in each half that we played quite well and dominated. If we can put it together better, we’ll be okay.”
OV hosts Stockbridge Valley Tuesday.

COPES CORNERS – Steve Hanson set up one goal with his speed, and scored the game-winner on a breakaway in the second half to lead Morris past G-MU Tuesday.
Cody Luettger set up Cody Hall’s goal on a cornerkick for the Raiders’ lone tally.

SHERBURNE – The Marauders were unable to cling to a one-goal halftime lead and finished in a tie with Ilion Tuesday night.
Ilion caught the S-E defense on its heels setting up for a quick cornerkick that led to Daniel Ward’s goal to knot the contest. “We were trying to mark (on the cornerkick) and they snuck it right in,” said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez.
Nolan Fuller scored twice for S-E (0-2-1) in the first half one-timing a shot for the opening tally, then tucking in an unassisted goal after a scramble with 11:54 left.
The Marauders play Richfield Springs Thursday in the Hamilton Tournament.

ONEONTA – Oneonta’s top two players, Martin Couch and Isaiah Fleming, turned in medalist performances shooting matching 39s to give the ‘Jackets a home victory Tuesday.
“We were ahead by a couple of strokes coming to the last group,” said Norwich coach Bob Branham. “You can’t play defense in golf, but shooting a 218 – our low score this year – is a step forward for this young bunch.”
Frank Somich notched a 40 for the Tornado, while Jacob Kelly and John Mattingly added 43s. The Tornado (2-2) host Seton Catholic Central Thursday.
