Troopers arrest a man for attacking another with his truck

PITCHER – Police have arrested a Greene man for intentionally striking a 21-year-old with his pick-up truck following an argument.
New York State Police arrested Shawn A. Vanderbunt, 44, Greene, and charged him with first degree assault and first degree reckless endangerment, both felonies.
Police said they responded to a call at 3:15 a.m. Saturday along Cook Road in the Town of Pitcher and discovered the 21-year-old victim. The injured man was taken to Chenango Memorial Hospital for a broken pelvis along with several other minor injuries.
Investigators alleged that Vanderbunt intentionally hit the victim with his 2004 Ranger pick-up truck because he was still angry over a dispute the two men had earlier.
Vanderbunt was arraigned in North Norwich Town Court and remanded to the County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.
Police said they are continuing their investigation and further charges could be pending.
