Ewen matches brother’s 300 game
NORWICH – Following in the footsteps of his older brother, Kyle Ewen bowled the Tornado’s second-ever 300 game leading the Tornado to a 7-0 shutout of Oneonta Monday at Plaza Lanes.
Most important, it moved NHS into first place in the STAC Central division with a 52-25 overall mark. “It was sixteen years before Kyle’s brother Chris bowled the first 300 game for Norwich,” said Tornado coach John McCumiskey. “One year and three days later, Kyle bowled the second 300.”
Ewen went on to post a season-best 757 series, and had just one miss through 36 frames.
Dustin Jenkins finished strong with a season-high 279 highlighting his 703 series for Norwich. The Purple keglers host Sus Valley at Plaza Lanes Thursday.
