Chrystie named an all-SUNYAC performer

ONEONTA – Sara Chrystie, a sophomore on the Oneonta State women’s basketball team, was named this week to the SUNYAC all-conference second team.
Chrystie earns all-conference honors for the first time after leading the Red Dragons (19-8) in scoring at 10.8 points per game, assists (4.7/game), steals (50), and is third on the squad in rebounding for her guard spot at 4.7/game.
No player on the Red Dragons has played more minutes than Chrystie, who has started each of the team’s 27 games. Oneonta State earned a bid to the ECAC upstate New York tournament, and will host the tourney finals this coming weekend.
Chrystie, a five-year starter on Oxford Academy’s girls’ basketball team, is Chenango County’s second all-time leading scorer with over 1,800 points and a four-time Chenango County/Evening Sun all-star.
