Wright honored at Law Day
Chenango County Bar Association President Claudette Newman spoke Friday during Law Day ceremonies about this year’s Liberty Bell award winner, Jim Wright. County and Supreme Court Judges, members of the bar association, firemen and other citizens gathered Friday for the annual event. Politicians were on hand to congratulate the award recipient as well as have a few laughs from over the years. Wright is a member of the Norwich community, an active member of the state firemen’s association and professionally has been in the court system for the past 40 year,s covering the crime and happenings in Chenango County for the Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin. Wright spoke after receiving the award saying, “This is my Pulitzer.”
