The Chenango District of the Baden-Powell Council, Boy Scouts of America, honored Norwich’s Dorothy and Frank Benenati as its 2008 Distinguished Citizens at the annual banquet held at the Canasawacta Country Club Thursday. The Benenatis were honored for their “outstanding contribution to the betterment of the Chenango County community.” Pictured at the celebration are Clarence Rappleyea, who served as master of ceremonies; Dorothy and Frank Benenati, Eagle Scout Brian Martin of Troop 66 in Sherburne, and Chris Wilkinson, district executive with the Baden-Powell Council.
