Living willow installation Tuesday

NORWICH – Be part of the construction of a living willow book from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Guernsey Park, located behind Guernsey Memorial Library in Norwich.
Local willow artist Bonnie Gale hopes to gather participants to help her design an open book, complete with a cover and curved pages.
“A living willow book seemed very appropriate next to the library,” she said. “Come and learn the techniques of living willow structures and be a part of this exciting venture for the benefit of Norwich and Chenango County.”
Gale has designed and built 10 different living willow installations in the Northeast. This current project is funded with a grant from the New York State Council of the Arts, administered by the Chenango County Council of the Arts.
