Chenango Valley Home announces new executive director

NORWICH – Chenango Valley Home & Apartments in Norwich is pleased to announce William Beckwith as their incoming executive director. Most recently employed as the Director of Operations at Pathfinder Village, he has an extensive experience in resident care as well as financial and facilities management.
 Located on Canasawacta Street, Chenango Valley Home has served adults of Chenango County since 1896. Offering private rooms and enhanced care, the facility serves 30 residents and offers elders the opportunity to maintain control and dignity throughout their later years. In the summer of 1998, Chenango Valley Home added Chenango Valley Apartments to its campus directly adjacent to the facility on Fair Street. This 10-unit apartment complex offers one and two bedroom apartments for senior citizens. It is the perfect choice of independence and security for those active seniors that want all the comforts of home without the hassles of home ownership.
Beckwith comments, “My desire is to combine my broad administrative expertise and my strong commitment to serve others with the strengths and devotion of the Staff and Board, to provide the highest quality environment for people living at the Chenango Valley Home and Apartments.”
 Beckwith resides in Pittsfield with his wife and their two children. In assuming his new responsibilities at Chenango Valley Home & Apartments, Beckwith adds, “I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to become part of the Chenango Valley Home family. It is readily evident that the compassion and dedication of the Staff and Board of Directors continue to perpetuate the 100-plus years of success.”
 Board President of Chenango Valley Home & Apartments, MaryEl Emerson adds, “Bill will be working with Judy Richard, the current administrator, until she retires in August of this year. This will allow for a smooth transition for our staff as well as our residents.” Beckwith will be responsible for the oversight of all aspects of Chenango Valley Home and Apartments in addition to the new position of Resident’s Services Manager, which will soon be hired by the Board of Directors.
