Metz featured on NBT wall of art

NORWICH – NBT Bank’s Wall of Art is currently featuring the photography of James Metz at the bank’s Norwich Office on South Broad Street. His work will be on display until late June.
Metz specializes in portraits of individuals, groups and events. He is the owner of James Metz Photos on West Main Street in Norwich. In addition to completing 33 years as a teacher in the Norwich City School District in 2003, he has been a professional photographer for more than 30 years.
For its Wall of Art, NBT Bank is partnering with the Chenango County Council of the Arts to highlight the creativity of area residents. Council Executive Director Victoria Kappel said: “James Metz raises portraiture to an art form. This is reflected not only in the quality of his images but also in the many merit awards he has received from the Professional Photographers of America.”
Metz, a resident of Norwich, has been active in several professional photography organizations over the years. He also teaches advanced digital photography techniques to other professional photographers throughout New York State.
