6 On The Square presents Post Modern Man
OXFORD – 6 On The Square proudly presents, Post Modern Man at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. This is 2/3 of the Modern Man group: Dave Buskin and Rob Carlson - they’re traveling “Georgeless” (without third member George Wurzbach). This is an evening that will have you laughing until the tears roll down your face!
Modern Man fans can rest assured that this duo will continue in the Modern Man performance tradition, aptly tongue-in-cheek labeled “the Three Irish Tenors meet the Three Stooges”. Folk fans will no doubt remember song writer David Buskin from “Buskin and Batteau,” (he was Buskin); writer Rob Carlson is a producer and comedian. He is a regular contributor to “The American Comedy Network, a national syndicator of radio comedy. Together they’re instrumentalists with gorgeous voices and hilarious wits. Performers of note, Dave and Rob draw upon their experiences and comedy to sing about life and politics. Selections from their latest CD, Assisted Living, will continue their assault on the out-moded idea that only those persons not yet manifesting symptoms of senile dementia should perform in public.
Purchase tickets on-line at the discounted price of $12, until the day of the show; $15 on the day of the show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and all ages are welcome. Visit the website at www.6onthesquare.org for tickets and future event information.
