Sherburne man sentenced to state prison

NORWICH – After being released for a three-week furlough, Robert R. Reynolds of Sherburne was sentenced Monday to 2 1/2 years in state prison.

Reynolds, who has been incarcerated since July 31 for his in a fatal robbery, stood before Chenango County Judge W. Howard Sullivan to receive his final sentencing.

In the summer of 2007, Reynolds’s home was invaded by Joshua Richheimer, a Pittsfield man. While the two men fought, Reynolds is believed to have shot Richheimer and later buried the victim’s body in a wooded area near Reynolds’s home.
