GREENE – Scott Gorton set the pace for Greene's Otsenango Pony League team in a 13-6 win over Oxford Monday.
Gorton had three hits including two triples and two runs scored. His pitching, however, outshined a solid day at the plate. In earning the win, Gorton allowed two hits striking out 14 in 5 2-3 innings.
Zach Urda had two hits and two RBI for Greene, while Kyle Gorton capped a four-run sixth inning delivering a two-run single to put the game out of reach.
No Oxford player had more than one hit or one RBI.

Norwich II 10, Unatego 5
NORWICH – The Norwich II Pony team won a non-division contest against Unatego Tuesday to improve to 2-1 on the season.
Ryan Rose had the lone multiple-hit game for Norwich finishing 2-for-3 with a triple. Nate Winans, Josh Favaloro, Grady Thompson, Teddy Jerome and Reid Rose had one hit apiece.
Dennis Oralls, Nate Winans, and Ryan Rose combined to allow four hits with 12 aggregate strikeouts.
Norwich II plays at Greene on Wednesday and at Hamilton Thursday.
