Simien brings blues to the Fair

NORWICH – Dance lovers should have their fill of some spoon scraping and accordion pushing zydeco beats at tomorrow’s Chenango County Fair concert featuring 2008 Grammy winner Terrence Simien and his Zydeco Experience Band.

Simien is internationally recognized and the premier ambassador for the indigenous music of southwest Louisiana. His Creole-based zydeco is infused with reggae, rock and soul. Rolling Stone magazine describes him as “Master of nouveau zydeco: Anchored in tradition, but peppered with contemporary influences.”
