Johnny Cash tribute concert Saturday

NORWICH – Ron & Nancy OneSong will return to the Martin W. Kappel Theater in Norwich on Saturday at 7 p.m. with their Tribute to Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.
In a career that spanned nearly 50 years, the “Man in Black” recorded over 1500 songs and sold more 90 million albums. His wife, June Carter, was born into the legendary Carter Family and performed her entire life. The tribute show will present a musical overview of their lives, and feature songs such as “Folsom Prison Blues,” “I Walk the Line,” “Sunday Morning Coming Down,” “Wildwood Flower,” “Jackson” and “Boy Named Sue.”
Ron & Nancy OneSong specialize in vintage country, bluegrass, western and gospel music, and over the past decade, have been featured at festivals and special events throughout the Northeast. They recently performed at the 1000 Islands Bluegrass Festival in Stone Mills, and at the Clayton Opera House. They were featured at the Cambria Bicentennial Celebration in July and at a festival to benefit Vera House in Lafayette in August. Ron & Nancy OneSong have recorded five all-acoustic albums and are members of the New York State Country Music Association Hall of Honors. An autobiography of their early music career, “Stories of OneSong”, was published last year.
