OXFORD – Oxford raced to a five-goal first-half lead against Afton Friday afternoon, and won for the sixth time in seven games.
Kyle Ferrington and Taylor Bates traded off on the first four Oxford goals. P.J. Hubman, Chris Marks, and Justin Schray also tallied for the Blackhawks.
“I think we stepped it up a little bit today, and I hope that carries over to the Delhi game,” said Oxford coach Jon Rogers. “Delhi is a team that you have to score on and stay on top of.”

Lacey Barry took a pass from Chantel Crandall, stick-stopped it, and blasted the ball into the cage. “This is the best I’ve seen us play in almost a month,” said Oxford coach Melissa Chrystie. “We showed a lot of improvement during the course of the game.”
