Greene 3, Walton 1

WALTON – Greene won its fourth straight game and remained a half game behind division leader Sidney in MAC soccer play.

Megan McDermott completed a hat trick with 30 seconds left in the game connecting on a direct kick from 25 yards out, and it put the game out of reach against an improved Walton club. “We struggled in the midfield today, and it is nice to have McDermott up front,” said Greene coach Randy Smith. “Walton had its chances, but our defense was able to close those out. We dodged one today.”
