OXFORD – While Unatego's program has taken a step back this season, Oxford will take the breakthrough win over the Spartans.
Haley Witchella scored both goals for Oxford, the latter in the second half assisted by Kelli Whitehill for the first Blackhawks win over Unatego in the program's history. "We played well at the start and we were communicating and passing well," said Oxford coach Kathleen Cragle. "We played with intensity the whole game and we've been in every game. We know going into the second time around (in league play) that we have to play all 80 minutes."

NEW BERLIN – An offensive explosion in the second half propelled Unadilla Valley to a comfortable victory over visiting Delhi Friday.
Knotted at 1-1, Sakura Gysin took Amanda Tumilowicz’s cross from the right side at the left post, and tucked the ball away 9:03 into the second half. Sam Tumilowicz, Amanda Tumilowicz, Leslie Barnes piled on the goals in the best offensive half of UV’s season. “Our scoring was spread out and all of our goals had assists,” said UV coach Chris Bieniek. The defense did an excellent job changing fields and getting the offense the ball. It was well-played and a total team effort.”
UV’s Kara Collins scored off a header in the first half getting a pass from Carly Lorence.

Trent Wood added an insurance goal in the second half for the Warriors to put the game out of reach. "We didn't play our best game and we hope we can turn it around quickly," said Oxford coach Jon Rogers.

NORWICH – In a game of topsy turvy momentum, Seton Catholic Central rallied with two goals in the second half to prevail Friday afternoon at Norwich.
Ivan Jones scored unassisted at 26:58 to tie the game at 3-3, and Dan Farrell had the game-winner in the 33rd minute. Farrell’s shot came in pinball fashion as the ball was kicked around the goal area, and it made it across the goal line just off the fingertips of Tornado keeper Joe Krug.
Norwich’s Kyle Acenowr put Norwich on the board at 3:26 of the first half – less than two minutes after the Saints took the lead – getting a pass from Jason Woodard. The Tornado led 2-1 at halftime following a Seton own goal.
Pat Matthews matched that second Norwich goal at 22:17 of the second half before Keegan Ryan gave Norwich its final lead four minutes later following Jason Woodard’s second assist of the game.

WEST WINFIELD – Mount Markham wore down the undermanned Marauders with two late goals in the second half, both over the final 10 1/2 minutes, in a win over S-E Saturday.
With just 11 players available, S-E kept pace early only Courtney Jaspar scored back-to-back goals for the Marauders at 25:19 and 19:39 to give the Marauders a 2-1 lead.
Bree Hammond and Atwell then tallied moving the Mustangs in front at halftime. “The final score looks bad, but it really wasn’t that ugly,” said S-E coach Sheila Cooman. “We played a great first half, and the total shots and corners tell a lot.”
S-E is at New York Mills Tuesday.

WALTON – After winning a game earlier in the week on a penalty-stroke shootout, Walton had Oxford on the reverse end of a shootout outscoring the Blackhawks 2-1 in the stroke-off Friday.
Danielle Murphy scored in the first half for the Blackhawks giving them a one-goal lead entering the second half. “I couldn’t believe we were in the same situation, and it’s unfortunate to come out on the other end of it,” said Oxford coach Melissa Chrystie.
On a positive note, while the game goes down as a loss in the MAC standings, it is recorded as a tie in Section IV seedings points. “One result was better than the other this week, but the reality is that we gained sectional points (with the tie),” Chrystie said.
