Plymouth family hosts Rogers’ Haunted Hill this weekend

PLYMOUTH – Hopkins-Crandall Road in the Town of Plymouth will be filled with screams this weekend as the Rogers family holds their fifth annual Haunted Hill event.

Beginning around 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, the Rogers family will invite the public to take a tour of their Haunted Hill. Since late August, the family has been planning and setting up the chambers of their haunted hill. “We have a lot of new stuff and new rooms,” said one of the event coordinators, Beverly Rogers.

The Haunted Hill tour costs $5, but every year, the money raised at the event is used to purchase new items for the next year. “All the money goes right back into it for next year,” Rogers said.

More than 35 people have taken part in decorating, setting up and working at the event this year. “The set up is a little different this year,” Rogers said, explaining that lines were long last year and there were some people who crowded to the front. “We’ll have more control of people this year.”

Spectators will make their way through the line and be taken on a wagon to the top of the hill, where they will be allowed to travel through the 22 chambers.
