Two car accident slows traffic and stretches emergency crews

NORWICH – A violent collision in the Town of Norwich Wednesday afternoon took place amidst several other emergency calls that stretched out responder’s resources and slowed traffic for an hour and a half.

Among the three people involved in the accident, no one was injured, but both vehicles had to be towed from the middle of the traffic light intersection of East River Road (County Rt. 32) and State Route 23.

The accident took place at about 1:50 p.m.

Connie M. Coleman, 64, Bainbridge, was traveling south on Rt. 32 in her 2003 PT Cruiser, proceeding through the intersection making a left turn onto Rt. 23.
