Oxford drops final to Candor

OXFORD – Candor stopped Oxford's fourth-and-goal from the two on the first drive of the game, and scored on its second offensive play en route to a 27-8 victory at Oxford on homecoming night.
Cody Rose took the Indians' second play from scrimmage 83 yards for the score. Rose had two touchdowns and rushed for 180 yards on 15 carries.
Oxford drove 68 yards on its final drive, and scored with 16 seconds remaining on Travis Frank's one-yard plunge. Frank finished with 151 yards on 39 carries to lead the Blackhawks (1-6).
