AFTON – Afton returned the favor to Oxford. Less than two weeks after suffering its first loss of the season to the Blackhawks, Afton eliminated Oxford from playoff competition.
In a more closely contested battle than the previous two meetings this season, Amy Olin’s unassisted tally in the first half was the lone scoring. Kailee Granger made two saves for the Crimson Knights, who advanced to the Section IV Class C-D semifinals along with Marathon, Harpursville, and Tioga.
