Teachers, members recital Monday
NORWICH – The Monday Evening Musical Club of Norwich presents its annual Teachers and MEMC Club Members recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3 at the United Church of Christ, 11 West Main.
The program includes music teachers from Chenango County Schools in performance with performing members of the club. Featured on the program are a vocal trio by Mary Mayo ( Norwich High School), Jamie Carrier (Norwich CSD) and Julie Solomon (Oxford CSD); a duet by Oxford High school choral director, Mike Moren with his son James; Greene High School’s band director and flutist, Heather Kriesel.will perform several solos. Accompanying the teacher soloists are Rosemary Jaytanie and Susan Ticknor. Also performing are MEMC members: pianist, Anita Humer, organist, Susan Ticknor, singer, Meena Conant, an oboe/piano duet by Susan Marson and Catherine Hammons, and a vocal quartet by Sue Franco, Kathy Burnside, Dianne Lewis and Sue Dreyer.
Monday Evening Musical Club is a non-profit organization which awards scholarships to high school seniors who pursue a career in music. The concert is free and open to the public. A free will offering is provided to support the scholarship fund.
