Greene PD, FBI storm home of suspected child pornography distributor

GREENE – In a joint investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Village of Greene Police Department aided in the arrest of local man for trafficking child pornography over his computer.

FBI agents and police officers stormed the residence of Charles A. Robbins, 50, at 27 North Chenango St. in the Village of Greene Friday morning executing a “no knock search warrant,” said Green Police Chief Steven Dutcher.

The Greene police have been involved in the investigation for the past several months after federal agents traced Robbins’ alleged exchanges of child pornography through his computer, explained Dutcher.

“In cases like this it takes some time to gather all the necessary information needed to make an arrest,” he said.
