Davidson Fox & Company sponsors Chenango River Theatre’s Winter Gala

GREENE – Featuring wonderful and exotic items you’ll want to bid on, Chenango River Theatre’s second annual Winter Gala Cocktail Party & Auction will be held at Baron’s Inn Restaurant from 6 - 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17.
Among the featured items donated to the theatre and available through the Silent and Live auctions are two vacation packages, both during President’s Week (Feb. 15-22). Each vacation is for a two bedroom condo complete with kitchen and many other amenities: one is at Surfwatch, Marriott Resort’s facility on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and the other is at the Marriott Resort in colonial Williamsburg, Va. Some of the other highlights include an Eli Manning autographed commemorative football from the Giants Super Bowl win last year, as well as an autographed hat from that event. Rare vintage wines (not publicly available) will also be featured.
Sponsoring this year’s event will be one of the region’s best-known accounting firms, Davidson Fox & Company, LLP. The firm is well- known for its charitable contributions of time and money to worthy Southern Tier of New York non-profit organizations. Managing Partner James Daniels said, “We’re proud to be associated with this event, which was such a fun and successful party last year, and is such an important fundraiser for the Binghamton area’s only equity theatre company.”
Entertainment will feature the voices of Naima Kradjian (Executive Director, Goodwill Theatre) and Bill Gorman, both performers who are well-known to music fans of the area. Pianist Jan DeAngelo, a star in his own right, will be on piano for this memorable musical evening.
Also available for bid will be fine photography, collectible wines, gift certificates to area restaurants and businesses, family membership to the Discovery Center, tickets to area sporting events, rounds of golf at area courses, as well as artwork and other fun and fine items.
Complimentary fine wines (as well as a never ending supply of draft beer) and exquisite hors d’oeuvres from Baron’s chef are included in the price of admission, which also includes a tax-deductible donation to the theatre. Admission is $50/person and Baron’s Inn is located at 1244 State Highway 12., just south of Greene. Tickets to the event are available through Jan. 15 by calling the theatre at 656-8778.
If you are interested in donating an item to help the company raise needed funds for operations, please contact the theatre office at 656-8778.
