GREENE – The Greene Town Justice recently assigned to the Steven W. Fong case has rendered another decision in the case, the third in less than two weeks.

This latest decision, issued by Judge Dante Acunto on Friday, denies a request by District Attorney Joseph McBride to review a Jan 9. order which placed ownership of 76 Pomeranians, seized from Fong last fall, in question yet again.

In accordance with a ruling by Judge John Weidman, the Town of Oxford Justice who originally presided over the case, the dogs became the legal property of the Chenango County SPCA in November. The order was made in a civil proceeding between the SPCA and Fong, not as a part of the criminal trial.
