Rooney started his day with a season-best 268 game, the high individual game as well. Dustin Jenkins added a 607 series.

NORWICH – Norwich and Greene split the 12 events, but it was the Trojans and their superior depth that allowed them to prevail over the Tornado for the second time this season.
“We have our front-runners, but we expected them to have good depth,” said Norwich coach Jon Aikins. “It all comes down to those third- and fourth-places.”
Trey Ostrom and Dan Wenzel had a pair of individual wins to lead the Tornado.
On the Trojans’ side, Patrick Kelsey, Jason Hollings, George Flanagan, and Jon Cox grabbed first-place finishes. The Trojans also claimed two of the three relay events.
Norwich is at Johnson City Friday. Greene hosts Afton/B-G on Thursday.

AFTON – The Makos captured two events – the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay – in a non-league defeat to Chenango Valley Tuesday.
Kevin Bullis, Shane Schneidau, and Steve Howe were components on each winning relay. Kurt Rogler served as the lead-off in the medley relay, while Kevin Bullis started the 200 free relay’s win.
“We had several best times tonight, and despite the high yardage in practice, the swimmers are still getting faster,” said Makos coach Kevin Diefenbacher.
