Boys’ Swimming

Johnson City 102, Norwich 80
JOHNSON CITY – Norwich put up its best 200 medley and 200 relay times, but it was not enough to overcome Johnson City in Friday night’s meet.
Dan Wenzel led off each of the winning relays, and Trey Ostrom along with Ryan Cambron had parts in each victory as well. Mike Reilly and Talon Schroeder were the extra pieces to complete each of those front-running teams.
“The difference in this meet is that we have our front-line kids and we have depth, but we didn’t have the quality of depth as Johnson City,” said Norwich coach Jon Aikins.
Cambron, Wenzel, Ostrom, and Schroeder all had individual wins for Norwich, who head toward the home stretch of the regular season. “At this point of the season, we’re turning in some good times, especially considering how many yards we’re swimming in practice,” Aikins said.
Norwich is at Maine-Endwell Friday.
