Crows still a nuisance
NORWICH – Although the City of Norwich has taken steps to control the crow population downtown, areas of the city are still seeing a significant influx of crows.
Last Tuesday, Fourth Ward Alderman Walter Schermerhorn again brought the issue to the attention of the City Finance / Personnel Committee. Earlier this year, in an attempt to remedy the situation, the city hired a falconer to come to Norwich, hoping the presence of the predatory hawks and falcons would eliminate the crow problem – but areas of the city are still seeing an increased crow population.
