BAINBRIDGE – Greene asserted itself in the second half starting the third period on a 14-0 run to win its final tuneup before Class C sectional play next week.
The Bobcats (1-19) limited their first-half turnovers and shot 53 percent from the field to take 31-29 lead into halftime. Shane Cornish scored 11 of his 13 points in the opening half, and Ryan Porter 10 of his 12.
Dan Carlin led the Trojans in the third stanza scoring eight points, while Dustin Turner and Mark McDermott split a dozen down the middle.
Carlin led Greene with 15 points, Turner had 12, and McDermott 11. “They went to a press in the third quarter and we turned it over 11 times,” said B-G coach Ben Nelson.

S-E wins league title
UTICA – Sherburne-Earlville’s boys captured the Center State Conference championship at Pin-O-Rama Lanes in Utica earlier this month.
The Marauders, who finished with a 16-0 mark in the regular season, racked up 2,932 pins. Mike Wilson posted the high game and series with a 233 and 618 respectively Andrew Symonds added a 256 en route to a 609 triple, While Don Philhower (202), and Josh Llewellyn (200) posted honor scores.
Philhower and Wilson were each named first-team dleague all-stars, while Llewellyn, Symonds, and Paul Potter made the second team. Philhower also won league awards for high game (288) and high series (732) in match competition.
