Gas station at Wal-Mart closes
NORWICH – The Sunoco gas station that rented space in the parking lot of the Town of Norwich Wal-Mart boarded up its windows and shut off its pumps permanently this weekend.
Sunoco is a private contractor at the site and is not part of the nearby Wal-Mart. Neither company was available for comment Monday morning.
“Sunoco decided they were not going to renew their contract, so they closed the site. I believed the intention now is to just to tear the building down,” said Town of Norwich Supervisor David C. Law.
