Commerce Chenango hosts “Good Morning Chenango!” tomorrow

NORWICH – Commerce Chenango will host its first Good Morning Chenango program at Fred’s Inn on Wednesday. The event, which begins at 7:30 a.m., will kick off the Chamber’s new series of breakfast presentations designed to inform area businesses about economic and legislative issues.
The program, sponsored by Frontier, will feature Randy Gibbon, Director, Chenango County Department of Public Works, as the guest speaker. Randy will discuss current infrastructure projects in Chenango County, including highway and bridge improvements, shared services, and economic stimulus proposals.
A recent member business survey indicated the number one issue on a local level that Commerce Chenango should focus on is consolidation of services. Other issues of concern and future topics of discussion were: Education, taxes, state of the economy and business retention.
The cost for Chamber members to attend is $15 per person, and includes a breakfast buffet. Those interested should contact Commerce Chenango’s Membership & Programs Coordinator Rachel Crandall at 334-1402 no later than March 3.
