Beaucoup Blue performs at 6 on the Square
OXFORD – On Saturday at 7:30 p.m., 6 On The Square (6OTS) is proud to present the nationally touring band, Beaucoup Blue. David and Adrian Mowry are Beaucoup Blue, a Philadelphia based father and son, Americana duo. They mesh together their blues roots with traditional and contemporary styles to perform their own brand of bluesy Americana music.
Although blues is a staple in their repertoire, Beaucoup Blue’s original music is also an innovative mix of Folk, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Country and Bluegrass. A wide range of instruments like six and twelve string guitars, slide guitar and round neck resonator guitar, compliment the harmony of the two soulful voices, only a father and son could achieve. The unique results are a rich sound that combines grace and grit which both haunts and mesmerizes audiences. Performing many songs from their just released CD, “Free to Fall”, you’ll soon understand what all the rave reviews are about.
Gene Shay of WXPN, Philadelphia said, “They [Beaucoup Blue] are one of the best and most exciting new acts to come along in years. I love their sound and their songs.”
