Oxford Rotary plans Easter Egg Hunt April 4

OXFORD – What bounces up and down, wears running shoes, and loves hunting for surprises? The answer… kids who love the Oxford Rotary’s annual Easter Egg Hunt! On April 2, the Rotary Club will meet at the Clachan Coffee House to get things ready for those dedicated egg hunters. They’ll be filling hundreds of Easter eggs with candy and surprises during their meeting in preparation for their annual Easter Egg Hunt.

On April 4, the Oxford Rotary’s 6th annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Oxford Primary School playground. Early that morning, Rotary members or “Easter bunny assistants” like Sandy Dain, Kathy Anderson, Sandy Phetteplace and Maria Landau will hide brilliantly colored eggs all over the school playground. All children in Pre-School thru 4th Grade are invited to attend, for free. Children, dressed for the weather, need to come prepared with their own bags or pretty Easter baskets. The Egg Hunt will begin at 11 a.m. and will most likely end in minutes! Just finding eggs is not the end though; that’s when the mad “scramble” search for wonderful prize tickets (for beautiful stuffed animals and $5 gift certificates to Hoppie’s), begins.
