Competition heats up at Norwich High School
NORWICH – As Norwich High School’s Spirit Week nears its end, all eyes are on the Pride Wall, where the daily scores of the weeks events are tallied.
As of Thursday, Purple was in the lead by a score of 413 to White’s 347. But with two big competitions left to go, it’s still anyone’s ball game.
It’s not just students who are getting into the competitive spirit. The school’s faculty and staff will join in this afternoon to champion their teams during the Pep Rally.
Dean of Students Scott Ryan, who will be representing the White team in all four of the afternoon’s events, refused to predict who would prevail. An alignment of the stars might be necessary for his team to pull it off, he said. “The Purple team presents a pretty hefty challenge.”
