Five Greene players had at least two hits led by Dan Carlin’s four RBI. “We were patient at the plate today,” said Greene coach Dave Gorton. “Their pitchers kept the ball away from us, and we did a nice job of hitting the ball the other way.”
Dylan Webb hit a solo homer in the fourth to left field for UV.

Erin Smith went 3-for-4 with two RBI and Stephanie Stahl had two hits and two ribbies. Rachel Turner came off the bench to deliver two hits for Greene.
Rebecca Hanrahan struck out 15 and allowed just one UV hit to pick up the win. Hanrahan has 126 strikeouts this season in 67 innings.

Sherburne-Earlville’s girls placed second in a three-way meet behind Cooperstown Thursday, while the Marauders’ boys were third.
Sofeia Eddy won the 1500 with a time of 5:39, Alysha Harlost placed first in the high jump (4-6) and first in the triple jump (29-9 3/4), Jasmine Huff captured the 3,000 meters (13:03), and Gizem Kocak too first in the 400 meters (1:07).
For the boys, Noah Huff ran first in the 3,200 meters (11:07) and Logan Aikins won the discus (distance not reported).
