Missing Norwich girl found in New Paltz

NORWICH – The Norwich Police Department reports that missing 15 year old Hailey N. Wilbur has been located and is currently safe at the New York State Police Barracks at New Paltz.
The Norwich Police, assisted by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation of the New York State Police have been actively investigating this missing person case since Hailey was reported missing by her mother on Friday evening. Through investigative efforts, Hailey Wilbur was located at a residence in New Paltz, (Ulster Co), New York. State Police investigators at New Paltz located Wilbur and returned her to the State Police barracks. She was reportedly in good condition.
Norwich Police officers are traveling to New Paltz to return Wilbur to Norwich in order to further the investigation surrounding her disappearance.
“We are grateful that Hailey was located and her family can finally rest easy” said Norwich Police Chief Joseph Angelino. “We plan to continue this investigation in order to learn if there was any criminal culpability involved in her disappearance.”
