Chenango United Way tees off for annual campaign
NORWICH – On Friday, the Chenango United Way will hold its annual golf tournament to benefit this year’s campaign. With 21 teams registered so far, time is running out to participate in the yearly campaign event.
According to Chenango United Way Executive Director Elizabeth Monaco, the CUW can only accept 25 teams to participate in the event, and registration must be completed by Wednesday afternoon. Teams of four players can register for the tournament over the phone by calling the CUW office at 334-8815. Registration fees can be handed in the day of the tournament. The cost for registration is $320 per team or $80 per player.
Chairing the Golf “Fore” United Way event will be Brian Burton of NBT Bank and Shawn Sastri of Preferred Mutual.
The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the Canasawacta Country Club. The golf tournament will begin with registration and a continental breakfast. Tee off begins at 10 a.m. Teams will play the course and have the chance to participate in contests and activities throughout the day and prizes will be up for grabs. A buffet dinner and awards ceremony will be held after the tournament, beginning at 3 p.m.
