Norwich II 9, Bainbridge 2
NORWICH – Norwich erupted for seven runs in the second inning, and defeated Bainbridge Monday for to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Justin Lindenthaler earned his second win for Norwich. Lindenthaler allowed one run on four hits in six innings of work.
Norwich had five hits in the second inning with Colby Griffin, Grady Thompson, Lindenthaler, and Ben Barnes getting RBIs. Brady Chipman was 2-for-2 with two doubles, and Mike Yacano scored two runs for Norwich.
Norwich I 5, Oneonta Red 3
NORWICH – Norwich scored three runs in the top of the first inning highlighted by Reid Rose’s RBI double, and pitcher Cody Barnes logged six innings for the victory Monday over Oneonta.
John Yacano reached base safely four times for Norwich with two hits and two base on balls. Barnes struck out seven batters, and Rose pitched a perfect seventh to earn the save
Oxford 15, Greene 9
GREENE – Oxford pulled away in the seventh inning scoring five runs on six hits to defeat defending Otsenango Pony League champion Greene on Monday night.
Adam Pierson and Justin Schray each drove in four RBI apiece, while Andrew Golden and Cameron Heggie had two ribbies apiece in a winning effort.
Jody Smith and Austin Crandall came off the bench to notch two hits apiece, with Smith driving in one run and Crandall two.
Shawn McKee picked up the victory and Pierson came on to record the save.
Oxford hosts Sherburne today in a makeup game from last week.
