NORWICH – This summer from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, the Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) and the Farmer’s Market will be sponsoring the “Lunchtime LIVE!” shows in the park. These weekly shows kick off tomorrow with The Bob Arnell Trio and continue through the last week in August.
Pegi LoPresti, executive director of the Norwich BID, said she’s excited about the upcoming performances. “For the past two years we’ve been partners with the Farmer’s Market and I’m delighted that we have nine shows this year, when before, we only had five.” LoPresti said the BID was a recipient of a New York Council of the Arts Decentralization grant, which allows them to provide more musicians.
LoPresti said working with the Farmer’s Market was “great” and “we’re giving people some fun and musical summer entertainment and providing some business for the Farmer’s Market.” She described the acts, many of which are local, as fine blues and roots players. “We even have a harpist,” she said.
The Norwich BID, in conjunction with the Farmer’s Market, is pleased to present the following line-up for the 2009 Lunchtime LIVE! Lunch and Music in the Park Concert Series:
July 1: Bob Arnell - The Arnell Trio
July 8: Ted Davenport
July 15: Tom Rasely
July 22: Ron Palmer and Jeff Rasmussen
July 29: Pamme Swan
Aug. 5: Joe Lombardi
Aug. 12: Red Raville - The Red Hot Six
Aug. 19: Brian Martin and Chris Weinell
Aug. 26: Aaron & Claudia Karppala

This project is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council of the Arts, administered by the Chenango County Council of the Arts.
