Police report: Woman was in crosswalk

NORWICH – In Tuesday’s story about a pedestrian being struck by a car, witnesses interviewed by The Evening Sun prior to the release of the official police report contradicted the findings of investigators in the case.
It should be clear that the two witnesses interviewed by The Evening Sun were among the several interviewed by police, including the driver. An accident reconstruction was performed following the accident. The official police finding declared the victim in the case, April Kenyon, was indeed inside the crosswalk lines at the time of Monday’s accident. The defendant is charged with hitting her in the crosswalk.
