Police looking for graffiti vandal

NORWICH – The City of Norwich Police Department is asking for help in solving a recent rash of mischief graffiti scrawled across the Norwich Middle and High School Buildings and on the SUNY Morrisville campus in Norwich.

Police reported that the suspect, seen to the right of this video surveillance feed, may be the same person responsible for graffiti found at 4:22 a.m., June 23, at the Norwich Middle School. Then on the night of June 28 at around 10:55 p.m., police discovered markings on the high school building. Later that same night at around 2:27 a.m. June 29, officers came across similar markings written on the side of the SUNY Morrisville building.

Police said the suspect was using a soap-based instrument to write the graffiti and was not causing permanent damage to the structures. They also noted that messages left did not contain vulgarities. The material required an amount of labor to clear away, they said.
